Timothy S. Coughlin, 55, of Portland, combat veteran and beloved grandfather, died unexpectedly on August 15, 2022.
He was born May 27, 1967 in Kenmore, the son of James D. Coughlin of Dunkirk and the late Berniece Y. (Serena) Coughlin.
A devoted U.S Marine Corps Veteran who received a Bronze Star (with Valor device) for his service in the Gulf War.
He had a fulfilling career at Carriage House in Fredonia and was a union representative.
Besides his father, he is survived by a beloved daughter, Sara A. (Justin) Murphy; a brother, Patrick (Francesca) Coughlin three grandchildren, Joseph, Alexander, and Zachary Murphy; and two nephews, Michael and Nicholas Coughlin.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Christopher J. Coughlin and (infant) brother, Michael Coughlin; and (infant) sister, Michele Coughlin.
Calling hours will be held Friday, Aug. 19, from 4-7 p.m. at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held immediately after the calling hours at 7 p.m. The Rev. Daniel P. Walsh will officiate. Full Military Honors will be accorded by the Dunkirk Joint Veterans Council Honor Guard.
