Terry L. Soper

She was born Sept. 23, 1943 in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late William and Leona (Shepard) Tucker.

A lifelong resident of the area, Terry attended Dunkirk High School. She had been employed as a professional cook at several local restaurants.

She was a member of the Columbus Club and Northern Chautauqua Conservation Club. An avid reader and Green Bay Packer fan, Terry loved watching Jeopardy.

Survivors include one son, Paul D. Soper Jr. of Dunkirk; one daughter, Catherine S. (Andrew) Carpenter of Milton, DE; her loving companion, James Schrantz; sister, Donna (Charles) Allesi of Fredonia; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Tucker; and two sisters, Susanne Marsh and Billie Tucker.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Northern Chautauqua Conservation Club, 1 North Mullet Street, Dunkirk, NY on Monday, Aug. 7, from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Literacy Volunteers of Chautauqua County, 10 Park Place, Fredonia, NY 14063. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
