Robert J. Kozlowski

He was born June 14, 1957 in Dunkirk, the son of Robert P. and Elizabeth (Bartholomew) Kozlowski of Dunkirk.

A lifelong Dunkirk resident, Robert was a graduate of Dunkirk High School, class of 1975. He took pride in his most recent role as a groundskeeper at Vineyards Golf Course in Fredonia.

Robert was a member of Blessed Mary Angela Parish, Church of St. Hyacinth and the Dom Polski Club.

Survivors include his wife, Lauren M. (Meyer) Kozlowski, whom he married July 27, 1979; two sons, Robert J. Jr. (Lindsey Fisher) Kozlowski of Dunkirk and Randall (Lauren) Kozlowski of Mebane, NC; Family was most important to Robert especially his six grandchildren, Robert John III, Gracey, Olivia, Zachary, Tyler, and Camden Kozlowski; three sisters, Michelle (Duke) Congdon, Sharon (Dennis) Straight, and Beth (Jim Hanlon) Kozlowski, all of Dunkirk; one brother, Mike Kozlowski of Browns Summitt, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by one brother, James Kozlowski; and his sister, Cheryl Pauszek.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Kosciuszko Club, 252 Nevins St., Dunkirk on Monday, June 19, from 10 a.m-12 noon. The family encourages anyone interested to continue the celebration sharing stories and enjoying nine holes of golf at Vineyards Golf Course following lunch.

In lieu of flowers, Robert’s family would prefer donations to be made to the Gary Tripp Memorial Fund in memory of Robert Kozlowski. Which provides scholarships for Senior Golfers of Dunkirk High School and supports cancer research.
