Randy K. Albrecht

Randy K. Albrecht, 69, of Fredonia, passed away suddenly, Monday evening, December 23, 2024 at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehab Center. Born on May 21, 1955 in Dunkirk, son of the late Herbert Albrecht and Barbara Westphal. 

Randy graduated from Cassadaga High School in 1974, where he showcased his athletic prowess, playing both football and baseball. This foundation of hard work and discipline shaped his career, ultimately leading him to employment at Tops Markets in Dunkirk. After many years of service, he retired but continued to embody the spirit of hard work through various side jobs, including landscaping and logging.

He was an avid bingo, dominoes and billiards player. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for hunting and fishing. A devoted fan of the Buffalo Bills, WWE and wrestling. Randy also dabbled in martial arts, specifically Judo, in his younger years, which added another layer to his diverse interests.

Randy had a genuine care for his family that shone through in all aspects of his life. Many fond memories will be cherished, especially those of making Christmas cookies and spending precious time with his granddaughters, who brought immense joy to his life.

Survivors include his daughters Becky (Corry) Fleck, Jessica Albrecht, and Sarah Nyhart; granddaughters Heather, April, Cheyenne and Dawn Fleck; sister Ruth (John) Stalter; half-sisters Bette Monter and Lynn Cummings. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Randy is also preceded in death by his brother Martin Albrecht. 

Graveside prayer services will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Willowbrook Park Cemetery. Arrangements by McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home; 736 Central Avenue, Dunkirk, NY.
