Nancy Ann Woloszyn of Dunkirk, NY, passed away December 29, 2022, at the Autumn View Health Care Facility.
She was born in Dunkirk on August 8, 1934, the daughter of the late Katherine (Skura) and Karl Mleczko. Nancy attended schools in Dunkirk and graduated from Dunkirk High School. She was employed at the former Alco Products until their closing. She was then employed as a Service Assistant with the NY Telephone company for 28 years, retiring in 1991.
On June 26,1957, Nancy married John Woloszyn at St. Hyacinths Church. They enjoyed family gatherings and traveling to Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Las Vegas, Poland, Washington and many other places.
Nancy was a member of St. Hyacinths Church and its Holy Rosary Society of which she served as financial secretary for many years. Other memberships include life member of Pioneers of America, Dom Polski’s Polish Home and a volunteer at the Salvation Army. After her retirement she served on the Board of Directors at the Dunkirk Senior Center.
Nancy enjoyed doing puzzles, going to the casino, spending time with family, especially her nieces and nephews, Besides her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her sisters Josephine Kuzma, Dorothy Pleva, Genevieve Mleczko and Mary Dworak, Brothers Frank, Alfred, and Anthony Mleczko, Nephew James Kuzma, niece Linda Coon-adt, and nephew Gary Pleva.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband John, her much loved nieces Charlotte (Tom) McDonnell, Karla (Joe) Strefeler, Debbie Kuzma, Nephews Keith Mleczko, Tom (Dana) Mleczko, David (Patricia) Mleczko, Michael (Lori) Mleczko, and Patrick (Patti) Mleczko. Also survived by her much loved grand nieces Rylee and Emersyn Strefeler, Kristen (Michael) Malcomb, Jennifer Kuzma, Dana Ahlstrom, Danyel (Fred) Rizutto, Lisa (Anthony) Mleczko, Emma Ahlstrom and Natalie Malcomb. Grand Nephews TJ McDonnell, Jason (Kate) McDonnell, Michael Mleczko Jr, Zachery, Josh, and Luke Mleczko, Peyton and Alex Ahlstrom, Carter Rizzuto, and Mason and Dillon Charles, and Ronan McDonnell.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2023 at 11 a.m. in St. Hyacinth’s Church. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023 from 3-7 p.m. at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery.
