Lucille R. Moscato, 82, formerly of Miller Road, Fredonia died Sunday evening (March 5, 2023) at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dunkirk.
She was born Oct. 1, 1940, in Sheridan, the daughter of the late Frank and Stella (Grabowski) Moscato.
A lifelong area resident, Lucille was a graduate of Fredonia High School, class of 1958. She was an avid cat lover.
Lucille was an avid bingo player and loved making crafts. Lucille loved coloring and baking for her family and will be fondly remembered for her wonderful Italian cookies and homemade pizza.
Survivors include nieces Darlene (Joe) Michaels, Carol Millonzi, Jan (Gary) Hallberg, Julie (Tony) Valvo, Cathy (John) Vullo, Sandra (Thomas) DeArment, Barbara (Scott) Freeman, Mary Jane (Jack) Peterson and nephews Patrick Moscato, Dennis (Cindy) Millonzi, Ron (Diane) Millonzi, Greg (Peggy) Rose.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Russell, Anthony, and Louis Moscato; three sisters, Mary Millonzi, Rose Millonzi, and Theresa Rose; and two infant sisters: Theresa and Frances Moscato, niece Andrea Harold, nephew Thomas Moscato and her beloved cat Twinkles.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 9, from 4-7 p.m. at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, March 10, at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony’s Church, Orchard and Cushing Streets, Fredonia. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Sheridan.
Donations in Lucille’s Memory, to the Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 East Chestnut Street in Dunkirk, NY, would be appreciated.
