Judith A. Trippi, 77, of Dunkirk peacefully died Sunday afternoon (April 3, 2022) at home surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren.
She was born Oct. 29, 1944 in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late Peter F. and Rita T. (Schieres) Stupcy.
A lifelong Dunkirk resident, Judith was a graduate of Cardinal Mindszenty High School, class of 1962. She had been employed at Al Tech Specialty Steel Corp. in Dunkirk but her favorite role was wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker for her family. Judy loved the sunset at Point Gratiot, travel to her favorite place in Maine, shopping and good pizza. She was a longtime parishioner of Holy Trinity Church and also frequented Mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Anthony V. Trippi; four children, Michael (Kim Cahill) Trippi of Pittsford, Cheryl (Jon) Nichy of Cheektowaga, Joseph (Deni) Trippi of Fredonia, and Kathleen (Patrick) Jones of Dunkirk; eleven grandchildren; Olivia (Matthew), Joseph, Julie, Matthew, Steven, Alyssa, Alex (her birthday twin), Nick, Bradley, plus Jillian and Ty; one great–granddaughter, Amarra Jane; several beloved cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude PL., Memphis, TN 38105-9959. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
