Josephine A. “Josie” Wierczynski

She was born March 26, 1927, in Buffalo, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (DePlato) Ragione.

Josie had lived in Alden for 28 years and had been a resident of Dunkirk, since 1987. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church.

Survivors include her niece, Sharon (Bob) Bannerman; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Wierczynski, who died March 17, 1999; four brothers: Frederick Ragione, Dr. Joseph Ragione, Vincent Ragione and Thomas Ragione.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated today, July 22, at 9 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church. There will be no prior visitation. Entombment will be in the Marian Mausoleum of St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
