Jane M. (Parcell) Goodwin, 94, of Brocton, passed away Thursday morning, October 17, 2024 at the Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing in Greenhurst, NY. Born in Nashville, NY on August 21, 1930, Wife of the late Lyle Goodwin Jr. and daughter of the late Phillip and Hattie (Olsen) Parcell.
Jane was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her family.
Known for her generosity and kindness, Jane was a colorful character whose spirit was full of energy. Friends and family fondly remarked that "she would give you the shirt off of her back." Her thoughtfulness and caring nature left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
In her leisure time, she enjoyed various hobbies, particularly playing bingo, tending to her beautiful garden, and taking leisurely walks around town. She had a special love for animals, reflecting her nurturing spirit.
Jane found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren.
Memberships include Dom Polski, Moose Club, Dunkirk Veterans of WWII, and the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post 62.
Survivors include her children Randy, John and Dianna Goodwin, Lyle "Rick" III (Debbie) Goodwin, June (Stephen) Torrick, Michelle Ledoux, Dennis Goodwin, Constance Brown, Lawrence Levern, and Lisa (James) Andin; 41 Grandchildren; 48 Great Grandchildren and 11 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
Preceding Jane is her Husband Lyle Goodwin Jr., son Andrew Goodwin, parents Phillip and Hattie (Olsen) Parcell, grand-daughters Jessica, Melissa and Jackie Goodwin. Siblings Beulah, June, Laura, Lillian, Anna, Irene, Sophie, Dora, Leonard and Phillip.
Friends and family are welcome to attend Calling Hours on Monday, October 21, 2024 from 3-6 p.m. at McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home, 736 Central Avenue, Dunkirk, NY. Interment in private.
