Jack Shubert

Jack Shubert, 85, of Dunkirk, NY passed away peacefully on May 15, 2022. Born on January 16, 1937 in Pittsburgh, PA, Jack came to Dunkirk in 1959 to join the staff of Dunkirk High School where he taught until his retirement in 1993. Jack also served as the head golf professional at Shorewood Country Club for 48 years. Jack was a teacher and friend to many. A full obituary was published on May 19th and June 21.

The family will be receiving guests from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, at the Shorewood Country Club Pro Shop, recently named in his honor as “The House That Jack Built.” Memory cards will be available to jot down a favorite memory of Jack to share with his family.

The Jack Shubert Love of Golf Scholarship Fund has been set up to help open the game to young golfers.
