Irene T. Maurer

Irene had a vibrant personality and was known for her infectious laughter and the twinkle in her eye.

Irene had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed people watching. She had a keen interest in NASCAR and action in general. Whether she was cheering her favorite drivers on or simply observing the world around her, Irene found joy in the thrill of life.

Family was essential to Irene, and she had a close bond with her loved ones. She is survived by her sister Dolores Maurer, her sister Martha (John) Miller, and her niece Susan Hebner and nephew Jason Miller. Irene was also cherished by many great nieces and nephews who will continue to remember her lovingly.

Irene is predeceased by her parents Richard and Beatrice (Rahn) Maurer and a niece, Laura Miller.

We would like to thank the staff at the various group homes that cared for Irene for their kindness, especially Fredonia Dayhab.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Jan.13, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Dunkirk at 10 a.m. Arrangements by McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
