Inez Freitas

She was born April 7, 1941 in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late James and Maria (Nunes) Freitas of Madeira Island, Portugal and New York.

Inez worked as a Home Healthcare aide for more than 20 years. She was very dedicated and gave good service. She took care of her eldest brother, Joseph C. Freitas, for approximately 9 years. She was married and is survived by her five children, Brenda Paine, Donna Jean and Brad Keicher, Pamela Ann and Jaime Welker, Robert Bielecki, and Laura Lynn and Dan Decker; eight grandchildren, Curtis and Brandon Paine, Stephen and David Welker, Jocelyn and Jesse Decker, and Brooke and Dustin Keicher; two great grandchildren, Sydney and Savannah Paine; three sisters, Mary Ann Parts, Alda Ann Bradnick, and Charlotte Freitas; brother, Daniel D. Freitas and his wife Frances Friel; sister-in-law, Nancy Freitas; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Margarida Freitas; four brothers, Richard, Donald D., James C., and Joseph C. Freitas; brothers-in-law, Richard O. Bradnick and Leo Parts; sisters-in-law, Elsie Platt Freitas and Mary Elizabeth Freitas; two nieces, Cynthia A. Bradnick and Lois Freitas Swierski, and two nephews, Kenneth J. Bradnick and Dennis A. Freitas.

Calling hours will be held Monday, Jan. 16, from 9-11 a.m. at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 noon in Holy Trinity Church. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
