Gilberto Rosas Jr.

He was born Sept. 10, 1970, in Dunkirk, the son of Gilberto (Minerva) Ro-sas of Dunkirk and the late Ada (Bauza) Rosas.

Gilberto had been em-ployed at Dunkirk Ice Cream Company and was a graduate of Dunkirk High School, class of 1989.

Gilberto enjoyed being outdoors, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved singing and playing guitar, especially during family gatherings. He was a family man, he adored his daughters and immensely enjoyed spending time with his son and grandsons.

Besides his father, he is survived by his wife, Gina (Daniels) Rosas; two sons: Tyler of Silver Creek, and Ryan of Brooklyn; three daughters; Brittany of Silver Creek, and Janaliz and Tiffany, both of Buf-falo; three sisters; Ada Ro-sas of Dunkirk, Lynn Rosas of Orchard Park, and Kas-sandra Rosas of Dunkirk; one brother, Noel Rosas of Dunkirk; four grandchil-dren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Rose Anne Rosas, who died April 29, 2007 and Tina M. Rosas, on Feb. 12, 2022.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, Sept. 13, from 4-7 p.m. at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
