Donna M. Danielsen, 87, of Fredonia, NY died on July 31st, 2023.

She was born in Dunkirk, NY on January 22, 1936, daughter of the late Charles and Carlis (Graff) Parker of Dunkirk, NY.

She is survived by her husband, Nicholas Danielsen; daughter Julia Rusbuldt, and husband Chris, (deceased); son John Danielsen and wife Isabela and two children Giulia and Jack; son Robert Danielsen and two children Christopher and Lindsay and two great grandchildren Christopher and Eliana; brother David Parker; sister Judith (Parker) Christopherson: and sister-in-law Susan McQuillin, husband Robert, (deceased).

Donna was a 1953 graduate of Dunkirk High School, earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Education from S.U.N.Y Fredonia. She taught in the town of Tonawanda school district for one year and for several years in the Fredonia Central School district. She was Director of Student Teaching at S.U.N.Y Fredonia for twenty- five years.

After retirement Donna and Nick enjoyed traveling with friends to Europe, the United States and Canada. Donna was a watercolor artist and enjoyed sharing her work with family and friends. Most of her paintings were from photos taken while traveling. She was also an avid reader with focus on the history of World War II.

Visitation will be held from 4PM to 7PM on Friday August 4th at McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home, 736 Central Ave. Dunkirk, NY, 14048. Funeral services will be held at 10AM on Saturday August 5th at St. Joseph’s Church, 145 E. Main St, Fredonia, NY 14063. Interment will be held immediately following funeral services at Forest Hill Cemetery, 57 Lambert Ave., Fredonia, NY.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Fredonia College Foundation, School of Education, S.U.N.Y Fredonia, Fredonia, NY

The family will be recieving family and friends at their Fredonia home after the Saturday church service and interment.
