Concetta (Arcoraci) Kuehn, 91, of Fredonia, passed away peacefully Monday evening, July 1, 2024 at home with her loving family by her side. Born on December 5, 1932 in Dunkirk, daughter of the late Ferdinando and Lucia (Floramo) Arcoraci.
Concetta attended Dunkirk High School and graduated in 1951.
Throughout her remarkable life, Concetta built countless memories that will forever resonate with her loved ones. Family vacations to Disney World were a source of immense joy for her, creating unforgettable moments filled with laughter and happiness.
It became a tradition for Concetta to cook spaghetti every Sunday, a simple yet profound gesture that brought the family together. Concetta's culinary skills were unparalleled; she was renowned for her delectable homemade bread and pizza skills that she continued on from her mother.
An individual with an extraordinary sense of humor, Concetta brightened the lives of those around her with her wit and warmth. Her selfless nature was evident to all who knew her, as she consistently placed the needs of others above her own. She had a special gift for bringing people together through food, ensuring no one went hungry in her presence.
Apart from managing her home with grace and dedication, Concetta found solace and joy in various hobbies such as playing Pinochle with family and friends. Gardening allowed her to nurture life and find tranquility in nature's beauty and also continue the tradition of replanting garlic that her father, Ferdinando brought from Sicily. Her passion for cooking and baking extended beyond mere sustenance; it was a form of love expressed through delicious meals shared with family and friends.
Additionally, she found fulfillment in sewing and crocheting, which she learned from her mother and bonding over the process of family scrapbooking with her daughter Ruby, and canning vegetables and freezing fruit with her daughter Jill. Concetta also used to work together with her husband, Albert, on many woodworking projects for family members. Albert was the finishing craftsman and Concetta would stain and varnish.
Concetta is survived by her loving children Ruby A. (James) Nosek and Jill C. (Richard Morgan Jr.) Kuehn; granddaughter Ashley (Christopher Scazafavo) Nosek and her sister Geraldine Gugino.
She is preceded by her loving husband of 67 years, Albert F. Kuehn whom she married on July 4, 1953; parents Ferdinando and Lucia (Floramo) Arcoraci; siblings Philip, Fred and Carmelo Arcoraci and half siblings Nunziata Farsaci, Louis Arcoraci, Francis Abbata, Carmelo "Carl" Arcoraci, Angeline Pascaretta, and Anthony Arcoraci.
