Carol J. Osar

She was born Jan. 1, 1936, in Elgin, Ill., the daughter of the late Wilbert and Catherine (Rickert) Prigge.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, William J. Osar; six children: Doreen Schwartz, Dawn Griewisch, Charmaine Patterson, Camille Vollrath, Cheryl Levandoski and Michael Osar; 10 grandchildren: Heather Sherwood, Christopher Cook, Patricia Lau, Alicia Osar, Cody Lee Patterson, Jordan W Patterson, Luca Bamonto, Rebecca Tworek, William Levandoski and Hannah Osar; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her faithful canine companion, Smokey.

Besides her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her son, Robert M. Sherwood; son-in-law, Ronald Griewisch; and several siblings.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
