It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our loving wife, mother and grandmother on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at Brooks hospital after a lengthy illness.
Betty was born in Buffalo, NY, on June 13, 1935 to the late James and Elizabeth (Mittelsteadt) Dailous.
Betty moved to Fredonia, NY, in 1950 at the age of 16 with her parents and sister. They settled into the Fredonia area and in 1951 through mutual friends she met the love of her life, Jerry Tarnowski. They were married on June 9, 1956 and shared 65 years of love, adventures and a whole lot of laughter together.

NY; Christopher (Samatha) Dimmer of Yulee Fl; and Matthew Dimmer of Dun-kirk NY. Whom she loved and adored deeply. She was always there for her grandchildren to comfort them with a loving hug or a sound piece of advice.
In her early years she worked at Van Raalte Co., M. Wiles, Ludes Brother Florist. She also worked at the First Ward Falcon Club with her daughter Betty for many years preparing food for all the banquets that were there. She also looked so forward every year to being in the vineyards tying and picking grapes for the Renswick family.
Betty was a faithful parishioner of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton church where she was chairperson along with her husband Jerry for Wednesday night bingo for many years.
Betty loved reading, doing puzzles, playing cards, especially with her card group that played together for over 50 years. She loved knitting whom she learned from her mother who was a master knitter. She also love traveling to one of her favorite destinations, Gettysburg PA. Along with Disney World with her grandchildren and the annual family week camping trip to Allegany State Park for the past 50+ years. Betty’s true joy was being a homemaker, mother and grandmother.
