Arlene P. (Bialaszewski) Williams, 85, of Dunkirk, passed away suddenly Saturday morning, April 5, 2025 at Brooks Memorial Hospital. Born in Dunkirk on December 2, 1939, wife of the late Donald J. Williams, Sr. and daughter of the late Felix and Helen (Grupa) Bialaszewski.
A proud graduate of Dunkirk High School, class of 1957. Arlene went on to serve an impressive 38 years as the Deputy City Clerk for the City of Dunkirk..
Her commitment to Dunkirk extended beyond her career, as she became an active member of various local organizations, including Dom Polski, Kosciuszko Club, Southern Tier Bills Boosters Club, and CSEA Retirees. She was also a lifelong parishioner of Blessed Mary Angela Roman Catholic Church of St. Hyacinth.
Arlene was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and loved spending time outdoors, particularly enjoying camping. Each winter, she would look forward to the time spent with her husband in Titusville, Florida, where they created lasting memories together. Arlene's love for her family was paramount as she cherished every moment spent with them.
Surviving Arlene includes her children Donna (Joseph) Pucciarelli, Debra Duke and Donald J. (Lisa) Williams, Jr.; grandchildren Angela (Kyle) Pucciarelli-Rice, Joseph (Bridget) Pucciarelli, Olivia (Shoa) Pucciarelli-Kudaka, Grace (Evan) Pucciarelli-Harrison, Sara Duke, Dylan Duke, Donald J. Williams III, Daniel Williams, Brian Kobel, Nick (Emily) Kobel and Sarah Kobel; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings Shirley Swiech, Barbara Binko, Robert (Lois) Bialaszewski, James (Linda) Bialaszewski, and Thomas (Patty) Bialaszewski. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Arlene is preceded by an infant daughter Ann Marie and siblings Felix, Norm, and Daniel Bialaszewski, Rita Krystofik, Elizabeth Tarnowski, and Jeanne Bialaszewski.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Calling Hours on Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. at McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Blessed Mary Angela Roman Catholic Church of St. Hyacinth. Interment in St. Hyacinth's Cemetery Columbarium.
